I'd like to thank all DTOL's representatives for all the hard work they have done in 2007, answering queries about dance and dance teaching in their countries/regions and supporting me in making DTOL helpful to site visitors.

I've got some new ideas for the newsletters this year. One is a Choreography Exchange.

Many (most?) dance teachers produce choreography - for their school, their students, etc. What if you could exchange choreographies with other teachers - I'll give you my piece if you give me yours?

If any members think this is a useful idea, email me brief details of a piece of your choreography you'd be willing to exchange and I'll publish it in the newsletter. Who knows - maybe you'd get three or four pieces in exchange for one of yours. Obviously this would not be on a professional basis - all you professional choreographers out there; don't send me details of your work to publicise; this is just for teachers and on an exchange basis.

The basis would be that any choreographic piece offered could be used in any circumstances by the person with whom the exchange takes place, and any number of times. I suggest that an acknowledgement of the choreographer - in a performance programme, video, etc. - must be part of the rules. Otherwise, no copyright exclusions.

The facilities are under utilised at present with capacity for expansion. There is a market for salsa and ballroom classes for adults plus dance workshops during school holidays. There is room for children's birthday parties and an internet café.
