Long-standing DTOL members will know that, at this time of year, I list details of Summer Camps/Schools which are organised by DTOL members or have DTOL members teaching on them.

This year, I have automated the process and you can register the details of your Summer Camp/School from your online Member Page (accessed from the Member Login as above).

This is so that details can only be registered by DTOL member teachers/schools.

The registration process is self-explanatory - I hope - but I want to emphasise: Must be genuine summer camps/schools, not regular classes or one-off workshops. June through September 2008 only.

(I'll be working soon on reinstating the Events page on the site, when you'll be able to list other events and at other times of year)

As with all registrations on the DTOL web site, the details are subject to an approval process, which I try to make as prompt as possible - subject to the fact that I have to sleep sometimes and, if you live outside Europe, I may be asleep when you register your details!

As soon as some summer schools are registered, I'll initiate the listing, which will be at www.dtol.ndirect.co.uk/summer.asp

I have re-thought the Mailing List Newsletter (which you can see examples of at www.dtol.ndirect.co.uk/enews.htm) and will not discontinue it entirely but will send an issue when I have material to include in it. So even a one-topic issue can be part of the pattern.

If you have recently joined Dance Teachers On-Line, you may not yet have placed a 'pin' on the DTOL Members' Map. You can access the Map at www.dtol.ndirect.co.uk/guestmap.htm and there is no password. It's just a bit of fun!

When a member moves country or region, their map entry may no longer be accurate. It seems that you can't delete your entry or change the location of your pin, so just place your new pin and email me to ask me to delete the previous entry.

"I danced for 22 years of my life, I only stopped to dedicate my life to mothering my four children and heal from depression after the birth of my children. I went on to study Massage therapy because it was a way to stay connected and make money at the same time. Now my heart yearns to dance again; my life's journey has brought me to a place where I can see dance in my life.... I want to be a Dance Movement Therapist, Naturopath and Holistic Minister.

My passion is to help people dance and use it for the healing of mind, body and spirit. Do you have any suggestions on how I should go about doing this....? Should I get a MFA in dance education and performance and do dance movement therapy apprenticeship along with that or get the Masters in Dance Movement therapy and do dance education as a Minor. I would pursue the Doctorate in Naturaopathy later after teaching and practicing as a Therapist for about 5-6 years; by then my oldest child will be 15 or 16 and my youngest would be 6. Dance is my first love. Thank you for any suggestions or direction you could give me as I reconstruct my Dance Career."
