DTOL member Mary Ellis (mary_ellis@btconnect.com)
from London, UK has some costumes for sale.
"I have got loads of costumes for sale as I am semi-retired and no longer
require my collection of allsorts. I have made a DVD of a great selection of
costumes. I did mention this on 'Dance Teachers on-line' some time ago I did
have a few people sending for my DVD and I'm sure they were happy. I still
have quite a few costumes and have created a second DVD, But this time I
will charge £5.00 for each DVD and return the £5.00 with the first order or
the return of the DVD.
Postage & packing will be charged extra."

And Jane White (jane@uniquecouture.co.uk)
from Skidby, East Yorkshire, UK also has "costumes I am looking to sell.
Last year I made costumes for a classical snow white and I am trying to sell
them on - 42 chorus costumes for 8, 10 & 12 yrs and 5 principal dancer
costumes. They are unique (not Disney style) designed and made by myself
and described as west end quality. Unfortunately the person who made them
did not pay for them and I have had to take them back.
The chorus costumes comprise a leotard in white lycra with organza frill at
neck and organza puffed sleeves. The skirts are made from 3 layers of net
with an over layer of sparkle organza (not the hologram type). The layers
are attached to a white grossgrain band with is attached to the black belt.
The belt is easily removed to be either used alone or for something else to
be attached to the skirt or for the skirt to be used without the belt. The
belt velcros at the back and there is room for size adjustments with the
lacing at the front. The front edges are lightly boned to stop them
collapsing. They are for age 8yrs x 11 in white, 10 years x 19 white or
peach and 12 years x 1 in lilac. The 12 yr leotards have 2 layers of lycra
at the front. They all come with matching flower headbands.
The 'Snow White' Costume is a dress with skirt made for 14 yr old but will
fit various sizes. The skirt is yellow satin with a textured white voile
overlay. The waistcoat is separate and the red panel can be easily removed
and replaced. The front edges are lightly boned to keep it straight. It
has a net underskirt. It was worn with a white leotard underneath.
The wedding dress is best quality lace with lace edging made for a 14 yr
size but will fit various sizes. It has a net underskirt and a sash. It was
worn with a white leotard underneath.
The black and white boys 'prince and king' shirts are in cotton with front
eyelets and braid for approx 14 yr old.
Red and gold jacket is velcro'd at the front and can be adjusted for size.
It is mounted onto calico for durability and has a matching shirt.
All garments have been cleaned and are an 'as new' condition. They have
been referred to as 'West End' quality and the brief was for good quality
garments that could be broken down and reused for other productions.
I am looking for £35 for individual chorus costumes, £80 for the wedding
dress and £70 for Snow White. The shirts are £20 each. The Princes jacket
and shirt are £50. I am prepared to negotiate on the price with anyone who
wants larger numbers or the whole lot.
My phone number is 07946 648748."

DTOL's online Shop now has a new DVD available for members resident in the
USA and Canada.
The Up Down & All Around DVD is a great teaching tool to assist in teaching
dance fundamentals to your students. The lessons are divided by specific
dance skills and follow the same progression as a dance class. The Up Down &
All Around Movement Guide is an added bonus which explains the lessons in
detail, the skills you are addressing as well as fun variations you can do!
The Up Down & All Around DVD focuses on the elements of movement, creating a
dynamic program accessible to all movers, regardless of age, experience or
ability. Through games, teamwork, and imagery the DVD program works on
enhancing body awareness, gross motor skills, balance and spatial awareness.
The end result is an interactive fun kinesthetic learning experience
developing stronger bodies and minds aware of their movement potential. This
program is 42 minutes in length and is great for movers ages 2 and up.
The Up Down & All Around DVD received Dr. Toy's 100 Best Children's Products
2009 Award and 10 Best Active Products 2009 Award. The DVD has also been
featured in many magazines including Dance Teacher and Dance Retailer News.
In its August 2009 issue, Dance Teacher called the DVD "an essential tool
for teaching the fundamentals of movement."

THIS WEEK'S NEW DTOL MEMBERS
The reason for listing new members each week is to foster DTOL's community.
I hope that, from time to time, you will find a DTOL member in your area, or
who is teaching your specialism in another area, and you will want to make
contact with them, to share experiences. That's what DTOL's all about! But
the listing is also a "welcome" to the new members. Perhaps you can take a
minute this week to email one of these members to welcome them to DTOL.
The second line in each case is what each member says about themselves.
