Angie Gallis

 

Angie has studied various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, tap, modern, lyrical, and clogging for 24 years with such well known instructors as Ben Vereen, Frank Hatchet, Jerry Rose, Suzi Taylor, Al Gilbert and many more. She is a 1988 graduate of Fort Hayes Performing Arts High School, Columbus, OH where she received a degree in dance and has also studied at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway, New York, The Edge Performing Arts Center, Los Angeles, CA, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati, OH, Ballet Met, Columbus, OH and Ballet Magnificat!

Angie, as well as her students has won numerous regional and national awards including best overall awards. In 1994 she pursued her dream of owning a dance studio and opened Modern Dance Theatre. In 1999 Modern Dance Theatre was closed so that she could further pursue her love of teaching without the administrative responsibility and to be able to spend more time with her family. Other credits include dancing as an apprentice with Columbus Dance Ensemble and with the Cleveland Cavs Dance Team. Also, she is a member of the Ohio Dance Organization and USA Gymnastics.
Although most of her career has been concentrated on the art of dance, which she incorporates into her gymnastics curriculum, she has also trained in gymnastics with an emphasis on toddlers and preschool age children. Currently, Angie is a dance/tumbling instructor with Tumblin4kids as well as serving as the US Director of Dance Teachers Online. She also travels the US and internationally teaching master classes and guest choreography as well as judging regional and national competitions for many organizations.
